Online Website Marketing

Search Engine Optimisation and Pay Per Click Management

Over 80% of people use search engines to find specific products and services. It is therefore important that our clients’ websites are found on page one for certain keywords. We offer our clients a technically optimised site and ethical search engine optimisation (SEO). Ethical SEO simply means following the guidelines set out by the major search engines, creating good navigation (with correct linking), a site map, correct use of header tags and advice on relevant text on the page.

  • We create you a website the search engines can index so your site can be found when people carry out a search
  • We advise you on creating content that describes your products and services using words and phrases used by your potential customers
  • We also request you secure links from other sites to show the search engines how important and relevant your website is

'The more sites link to you, the better. Joomla is a CMS that helps you add content quickly. Create one quality content page per day. Quality content is the most important factor to getting bound links. For a site that will perform well, you eventually need 200 odd pages of content. This is the important point. QUICK SEO IS DEAD. The only way to perform well in SEO now is to have a rich content site.'

Unethical or black hat techniques such as cloaking and the use of hidden text can lead to a site being banned.

'A well optimized website has more chance of ranking well in search engines attracting more traffic and hopefully increased sales.'

The two most popular ways to get your web site listed in the Search engines are:

  1. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) where your listing is shown as an organic search result.
  2. Search Engine Advertising (also know as Pay-Per-Click advertising) where you pay for your listing to appear in a certain position in a search engines such as Google.

Some engines (e.g. Overture, Ask Jeeves) will display PPC listings before the natural search results and it is impossible to reach the top spot for very competitive key phrases which have been purchased by advertisers, by SEO alone. Other Search Engines (e.g. Google) separate their PPC results from their natural search results.

It is preferable to achieve good organic search results for your web site before you consider purchasing keywords. Then by combining SEO and PPC methods you can cover all important phrases. However for quick results for your web site, PPC advertising can be set up and live within days.

Search Engine Optimisation is a slower ongoing process with paid for submissions being indexed quicker than free submissions.
